Meet Oscar, the owl. I found him at a thrift store a couple weekends ago and brought him home. I thought he needed a fresh coat of white paint. Although...he was actually kind of cute before I gave him his makeover, but I do like him painted white best.
Currently Oscar's perched at the end of our hallway, who knows if he'll decide to migrate - as birds sometimes do. My husband even kind of likes him, which surprised me!
Here's a side by side before and after:
What do you think? Yay for being crafty!

cute!!

DeleteLooks good! I actually never think of this kind of repaintings, this is very inspiring!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE IT! I never think to do this kind of thing, but I have been wanting to spray paint some beer bottles white for vases. I might have to do that!
ReplyDeleteLove the after! I would have never thought to do that.
ReplyDeleteThanks ladies! I got the idea from the blog Young House Love - they spray paint lots of animal figurines white!
ReplyDeleteI prefer him this way too. He'd actually go great in my white and turquoise room!
